Though our name has changed, all that you like about our practice is still the same!
Since Smriti and Shash took over the day-to-day running of the practice from Jette and Steven in 2018, they have been working hard to ensure that the principles and integrity that underpin the practice has remained the same. Though there have been several modifications and upgrades to enhance the patient journey; our personal touch, determination to provide a calm and friendly experience and incredible focus on providing the highest quality dental care is now stronger than ever.
Over the past 4 years or so, we have gradually introduced our new name – Restore32. This initially appeared on stationary, followed by the display in our waiting room and uniforms. The change on the website is just another step towards this gradual transition.
Welcome to our website! We hope that both our existing patients and any potential new clients to the practice will enjoy visiting this site.
In 1989, the husband and wife team of Jette and Steven Holbrook set up the practice and over the years have built and excellent reputation of delivering high quality, patient-centred, bespoke dental treatment. Following Steven’s retirement in 2018, another husband and wife team of Smriti and Shash Bhakta joined Jette and the rest of the team. Between us we have the skills to deal with all your dental needs in a comfortable, friendly environment.
Jette and Smriti provide all aspects of routine dentistry and will make you feel welcome, valued and well looked after. Furthermore, they have their own areas of clinical interest, which ranges from the management of TMD (problems associated with your jaw joint), cosmetic dental procedures, root canal treatment and dental implants.
Shash divides his working week between the practice in York and the Leeds Dental Institute, where he works as a NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. He provides a wide range of specialist services in house and accepts referrals from local dentists.
We love teeth (yes, we know we need to get out more!) but if we don’t feel enthusiastic about your teeth, who will? We think teeth are amazing in helping us to eat and smile with confidence. Who doesn’t like eating, and did you know that people with beautiful smiles are more successful?
With help from the FFH Local History Group, we have learnt that the terraces on Howard street were built in the 1890’s. 1 Howard street, which now houses the practice has been continuously occupied over this time period. It would initially have been a residential property prior to its current use as a dental practice from the early 1980’s.
Many thanks to the FFH Local History Group for the lovely historic images of Fulford Road.
